1. New Applicants

·         New Applicants to Parking Services from Emory Healthcare must complete and submit the full application form to the Parking Office located at 1701 Lowergate Drive, to register for any one of the commute options.  The commute options include regular parking, Cliff Transit, Emory Park and Ride Lots, Public Transit, Vanpools, Carpools (2 and 3 person), Bike, and Walk/Drop Off.

·         Employees registering for the first time must show their driver’s license and vehicle registration for each vehicle that will be driven to campus at the time the permit is picked up.

·         New applicants registering for regular parking will be issued a permit at the time of registration.  Participants in the other commute options will be contacted to pick up their parking materials.

·         Parking is free for Emory Healthcare personnel parking in Peavine, Michael Street, Clairmont Campus (Starvine Way).  For staff assigned to Lowergate, Tower, Lowergate South, and 1525 Clifton Road decks the cost is $66 for the 2008 year.

2. Renewing Current Registration

·         No action is required by Healthcare Administrators and Physicians holding a two year permit who will continue to use their current permit through 2008 and will obtain a new two year permit in 2009.

·         Current healthcare staff employees whose regular parking permit expires 01/31/2008 must come to one of the pick up locations below in January 2008 to pick up a new permit effective for the next two years.  The renewal of the regular parking permit is automatic, just (1) come by one of the pick up locations with your Emory Healthcare photo ID,  (2) sign for your permit in order to activate it and (3) pick it up.  The cost for 2008 is unchanged from last year.

·         No action is required by Healthcare employees currently registered for one of the Commute Options other than regular parking (Cliff Transit, Emory Park and Ride Lots, Public Transit, Vanpools, Carpools (2 and 3 person), Bike, and Walk/Drop Off).  The Cliff permits will continue in effect until 2009 with 24 more daily uses being added for the period February 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009.

·         Action is required if the Healthcare employee participant has a change in employment status, work location or home address.  Participants having such a change should go back to the Parking Services home page at http://www.epcs.emory.edu/park and select Healthcare Registration to update their registration.

3. Applicants Changing their Method of Commute

·         Healthcare employees wishing to change their method of commute may go online at http://www.epcs.emory.edu/park and selecting Emory Healthcare Registration to register for another Commute option.  The Commute options are compared below.  Rules for specific programs may be found at http://www.epcs.emory.edu/park/parking%20rules%20text.pdf
